Extractions

Extractions

Although we never like to extract a tooth for we firmly believe in preserving whats natural. But sometimes it becomes inevitable due to massive infection or a very mobile tooth or fracture of the tooth in most unsalvageable areas. Extraction or pulling of tooth remains to be the only option in such case.

We at our centre, take utmost care to make the procedure as atraumatic and painless as possible. We use long acting anesthetic agents so as to keep the anesthetic effect prolonged. And only use instruments from autoclaved pouches. Usually, an extraction is followed by smoothening out of the sharp and rough bone edges and then suturing of the open socket.

SURGICAL EXTRACTION

Sometimes it is difficult to remove a tooth from its socket with the conservative methods. In such cases a little bit of bone needs to be trimmed to allow a better approach and do the job. It usually happens in cases of impacted tooth or broken, inaccessible root stumps. The procedure, although sounds a little scary to the general person, is similarly painless as the general extraction. We also perform homogeneous re-implantation of the teeth, removal of dental cysts and tumors, management of jaw fractures, surgical orthodontics and the likes under our oral and maxillofacial specialist.
